Faculty of Design
Design is present in all spheres of life today. Not only industrial products and graphics are designed, but also services and experiences. At the Faculty of Design, we teach specific methods – ways of thinking and acting. Design is understood here as a process leading to the development of solutions that will provide recipients with values that are important to them, both functional and aesthetic, as well as emotional ones. Students learn about this process in order to effectively define user needs and create solutions to real issues, use optimal technologies and succeed in the market. A particularly important area of the curriculum is shaping responsible attitudes of designers, aimed at positive social changes. Social design challenges design perceived as a response to market needs and tries to see the needs of users who are often left behind.
