The Faculty of Painting is a creative space where there is a free exchange of thoughts, ideas, views about art and life.
The diverse nature of the studios, personal relationships between teachers and students create an atmosphere for experiment and bold artistic decisions. The works selected for the exhibition are an attempt to present the diversity of artistic attitudes, drawing on the tradition of the Academy, but often also challenging them. Today’s world is a place full of anxiety, fears, but also challenges related to the future of us all, especially the young generation. Our students use various media (painting, drawing, video, fabric, objects and spatial installations) to undertake artistic attempts to self-define, seek answers, ask questions – both to us and to themselves. They develop intimate, visual worlds, delve into themselves, but also react to the problems of the world around us and confront them.
