Description
Animation referring to the symbolism of miners like St. Barbara and symbols of mining. The process of collecting information about mining has resulted with the conclusion that the Polish mining industry has already been doomed, only politicians do not want to communicate it loudly. At the same time, miners are the strongest professional group. According yo mining analyses, most miners belong to trade unions, some even to several. On the one hand, it is an example of professional cooperation, and at the same time the position of a ruthless force that arouses in society often bad associations and sense of unequal treatment. The film presents a narrative where mining has was doomed to a shutdown. What will this process be like? Will unions use their power for a mild transformation or to protest? During the talks on the project it was stated that St. Barbara must die. Will she be reborn in green energy or her tradition must go away with coal? Animation created using image processing using a visual library Processing and Python programming language. Original musical composition, combined with sound editing from the interview with a coal industry analyst.
