"Mr. Paweł" is an introduction to the story of a 65-year-old plain man who runs a rural farm, and at the same time an asylum for animals and people. For years (I have been visiting him for over a dozen years), there have been youths in his yard, often with various issues, be it family, pathological, adolescence-related, or from congregate care. Initially, it seemed to me that they came to see horses, to be able to ride and care for them, with time I realized that they come to a place where it is peaceful, where everyone can be themselves, and everyone respects each other. Small communities were formed that ran the farm of Mr. Paweł. Everyone understood their responsibilities, it was a shame to leave mess behind, and mismanagement could have led to animals suffering. This is how the responsibility was learned. Each animal has always had a safe shelter with Mr. Paweł, and the young people brought countless cats and dogs. The goats go to the store with him, the turkey guards the yard, and the goose hugs him… Horses were also a rescue for Mr. Paweł, because it was thanks to them that he himself, after a deep fall, the loss of his family, and addiction to alcohol, stopped drinking and has never buckled since then.
